
Neil has a wide range of experience in both public and private sector organisations. Initially qualified as an accountant, he has continuously developed his business education throughout his career including in economics and software development.
His consulting experience includes a period managing Grant Thornton’s management consulting practice in the UK and also operating as a sole practitioner. His clients included:
- NHS Trusts
- European Commission-DG Trade
- Network Rail
- A major defence contractor
- A number of legal practices
- A range of owner managed businesses and SME’s in a variety of sectors
He uses his analytical skills to develop and evaluate business opportunities, including acquisitions, technology investments and joint ventures. His expertise also includes system definition and development in order to obtain competitive advantage from digital technologies.
Alongside his experience in advisory roles he has also held line management responsibilities for profit delivery in a range of sectors. Most recently he has held line management posts in an operational business requiring strict adherence to regulatory and Health and Safety standards. He also acted as Change Director at a major university. This role gave him significant insight into the opportunities and challenges of leading change initiatives in a complex not-for-profit organisation.
This mix of executive experience enables him to rapidly obtain credibility with clients as his consulting recommendations are both practical and deliverable.

Neil’s personal interests include track and field athletics and political history. He is married with 2 children.
