Jayne Brockwell

Leader on New Mums – Pre & Post Natal

I have worked in the health and fitness industry for over two decades since graduating from University. My love for my work has only grown since then. Over the years I have worked in many areas of the industry, from studio instructor, personal trainer, gym manager to exercise referral specialist and have found that my passion really lies in working with those specialist groups.

I have been an advocate for preventative healthcare since 2003, qualifying then as a Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructor (BACPR). My focus on preventative health support also includes pre- and post-natal exercise, stroke rehabilitation and long term neurological conditions. Regular exercise really does benefit these conditions, both physically and mentally and it gives me pure job satisfaction each time I can positively help make a difference to someone’s life.

In 2012, I was diagnosed with atrial septal defect (ASD – holes in my heart). The following year I underwent open heart surgery. This was a pretty traumatic time in my life, but drawing on the positives, I threw myself into my cardiac rehab work. I feel this experience has enabled me to treat my clients with a deeper level of understanding and empathy. Consequently, I feel even more passionate about helping others, by sharing the expertise to encourage a happy, healthy outlook towards both body and mind. My training ethos is that enjoyment is fundamental – I love to laugh with my clients, whilst encouraging and supporting them to achieve the best version of themselves.

They say ‘find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life’ and I truly believe this. I love my job!
